The necklace features round, faceted cone shaped glass beads interspersed with saucer shaped glass beads in complimenting red aurora borealis color. Beads are strung on fine gauge chain linkage -- signature Hobe construction. Open work silver tone end bars secure strands. Closure is via hook and beaded extension tail. Matching silver tone clip earrings, with signature Hobe rubber roller balls, are wired with red ab crystals, the largest at center. The entrancing aurora borealis dances with sumptuous colors and flashes with golden light. Hobe keeps it coming with it delectable demi.
The set includes the necklace, it's top strand adjustable to about 18 1/2 inches. Bottom strand drapes about 1 inch longer. Beads range in size from about 6 millimeters x 5 millimeters thick to 10 millimeters x 9 millimeters thick. Earrings are about 1 inch across with a 1/2 inch profile. Weight of the necklace and earrings set is approximately 68 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All glass beads free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. All ab finish intact lending superb color dispersion and brilliant light flashes. Necklace strands secure. Silver tone finish intact, front and back of end bars and hook. Silver tone finish intact on earrings' fronts, and backs. Wiring secure. Back cover plate secure. Earring clips secure. Roller balls remain pliable and functional. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of each end bar is signed: "Hobe". Each original earring clip is signed: "HOBE". The set dates circa 1950s-1960s.
