Pink, pink and pink. Ovals, chatons and marquise rhinestones share the spotlight in this '40's vintage pendant dangle necklace in silver tone. Bilateral silver tone box link chains, secured with a sterling silver spring ring clasp support (via rhinestone set connector links) a shield style medallion set with pink oval and chaton rhinestones. Three pink chaton tipped marquise rhinestones dangle, attached by rhinestone set connector links. A magnificent mingling of color, sparkle and movement.
The necklace is a wearable, fixed approximate 16 1/4 inches with sterling spring ring clasp. The pendant provides and additional 2 3/4 inches for a total 19 inches of length. Width is about 1 1/2 inches maximum. Center-most oval is approximately 12 millimeters x 10 millimeters. Bridge ovals at top are about 9 millimeters x 7 millimeters. Marquises are approximately 14 millimeters x 7 millimeters. Weight of the necklace is about 18 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact, retaining color an sparkle. Center oval is unfoiled. The stones range from a lighter pink to dusty rose to a deep mauve. And please...keep in mind that screens register color uniquely and our color assessments may differ from yours. Silver tone finishes intact, front and back. The spring ring clasp is marked sterling. We believe the remaining components are silver toned. All soldering and connections secure. Box chain links remain properly woven with no significant kinks or bends. Pendant hangs straight and even. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
The necklace is not signed other than "STERLING" on the clasp. It's design, components and construction, in conjunction with reference materials, suggest a 1940's vintage.
