Bi-color caramel / cream faceted givre / marbled glass beads team with cream colored plastic saucer beads in this triple stand beauty from Hobe, circa 1960s. Bead circlet rondelles in honey and cream intersperse throughout. Large button style earrings compliment with faceted givre half domes surrounded with cream colored beads. Vintage Hobe had a wonderful way with beads -- balancing and coordinating all components into one signature statement.
The necklace's top strand is adjustable to about 18 inches with beaded extension chain and hook style closure. Bottom row drops an additional approximate 3 inches. All strands are assembled on fine gauge chain for added strength, durability and drape and attached to crown style end bars, both signature Hobe features. Largest beads are about 10 millimeters -- smallest, about 6 millimeters. Matching clip earrings, with Hobe's clear rubber roller balls, are approximately 1 3/16 inches across with a 7/16 inch profile. Glass half domes are about 17 millimeters. Weight of the necklace and earrings set is approximately 85 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. Strands appear secure. All glass beads free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. Plastic saucer and rondelle beads retain even, clean cream and honey colors. No stains or yellowing. Gold tone finishes intact with minor wear on reverses only. Necklace closure secure. Earrings clips with pliable roller balls, strong and secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of each end bar is signed in signature lower case font: "hobe". Each original earring clip is signed: "Hobe". No copyright symbols.
