Produced for a relatively brief period of time from about 1941 through the '60s, the company's founder and owner, Frederick Mosell, was also it's designer. He may be best known for his "Night at the Opera", an extremely rare theatre box pin with patrons. Mosell jewelry of any type is rarely encountered. The clip earrings pictured, circa 1950s-1960s are large button style, featuring spiral wound textured and shiny gold tone entwined cords. They remain as fresh and fashionable as when created.
The earrings measure approximately 1 1/4 inches across with a 1/4 inch profile or height. Weight of the earrings pair is about 18 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All gold tone finish intact, front and back. No wear through. No dents or improper bends. All soldering secure. Earring clips secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Pristine vintage.
Each earring is signed twice. Once on it's original clip: "MOSELL" and also on the reverse of earring body within a rectangular cartouche: "MOSELL". No copyright symbols.
