Five graduated ropes of lustrous milk glass beads and strategically placed, sparkling blue aurora borealis crystals comprise our '60s vintage necklace with matching domed button style clip earrings. Each bead in the necklace is spaced with tiny gold tone metal beads. Retro deco end bars are set with clear chaton and baguette rhinestones. Closure is via hook and beaded extension chain. Earring beads are wired to a pierced dome, camouflaged by cover plate. All beads in this set are glass, lending extraordinary shine and sparkle, as well as durability and drape. Bead placement is exemplary, creating an extraordinary pattern presentation. Five generous rows give you all the coverage you crave.
The necklace's top strand is adjustable to about 18 inches. Bottom strand drapes from end bar approximately 21 inches. Largest crystal glass beads are about 10 millimeters. White glass beads are approximately 6 millimeters. Earrings are about 1 inch across with a 1/2 inch dome. Weight of the necklace and earrings demi is a generous approximate 178 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All glass beads free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. Blue crystals retain ab finish / sparkle. Milk glass beads are uniformly white with no stains or discoloration. Gold tone spacer beads have a warm brass tone patina, commensurate with age. No verdigris. End bars retain all sparkling rhinestones. Necklace strands appear secure. Earrings do show some finish wear on clips and reverses. Earrings' wiring and clips secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs.
The set is not signed except for a "PAT. PEND." stamp on the earrings' clips. Design, style, materials, and construction, as well as overall presentation suggest a '50s-'60s vintage.
