Bursting with red and pink rhinestones, this five tiered '50s vintage gold tone brooch makes you the star. Layer upon layer of pear shaped red and pink rhinestones lead you to the pinnacle -- a circle of red trapezoid shaped rhinestones crowed with a large pink chaton rhinestone. This vibrantly brilliant stone studded star puts you first in line on the red carpet. A magnificent draw.
The brooch measures about 2 5/8 inches across with an incredible 3/4 inch profile or height. Chaton is approximately 7 millimeters -- pear shaped rhinestones, about 7 millimeters x 4 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is approximately 28 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact with great color retention and sparkle. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to stones. Gold tone finish intact, front and back. All soldering secure. No pull apart or collapse. Upon closer inspection it seems that some soldering has been hand filed on pink rhinestone tier sides. It is not apparent from front and appears to have been done in the assembly process by the original maker. It does not indicate damage or compromise. Pin back straight, strong and secure. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
The brooch is not signed. It incorporates characteristics from the best houses.
