Sumptuous and sinuous, Trifari's chatelaine "brooches" the subject with substance and style. Magnificently sized, it was a challenge to format this photo.
Each round filigree shield is about 1 5/8 inches across with a 3/8 inch profile. Top chain strand is approximately 10 inches -- bottom, about 17 inches. Weight is an astounding approximate 120 grams. Reverse of each brooch is signed within a rectangular cartouche" "TRIFARI" followed by copyright symbol. Design, style, materials, construction, and overall presentation in conjunction with mark date these chatelaine brooches to circa 1960s.
