Rich amethyst chatons pair with lilac pink rhinestones in a marvelous burnished gold tone setting from Coro, circa 1956. Leafy sprigs jut out from looped ribbons and ropes crowned with purple and pink rhinestones. Coro used a better quality metal in this set, akin to burnished gold or brass tone -- similar to the metal Trifari used in it's Pat. Pend Period. It imparts a softer more refined look, with fine detailed impressions.
The demi includes the necklace, adjustable to about 16 1/2 inches. Decorative center spans about 8 inches x 11/16 inch. The bracelet completes the set at approximately 7 inches x 3/4 inch x 1/4 inch. Purple chatons are about 4 millimeters -- pinks approximately 3 millimeters. Weight of the demi is about 60 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones retain color and brilliance. No dark, cloudy, or dead stones. All burnished gold tone finish intact, fronts and backs. No dents or improper bends to metal. All clasps secure. No damage / no repairs. Extremely clean. Excellent vintage.
The bracelet is signed on it's original clasp: "Coro" in familiar script preceded by the copyright symbol. Although the necklace is not signed it is a definite part of this demi.
