Paul Selenger produced the Selini line, most say subsequent to his Selro division, although some pieces were marked concurrently. Selini jewelry, circa 1950s-1960s, is known for it's use of innovative color choices and combinations. Often, cabochons were used in conjunction with rhinestones and perhaps faux pearls and miscellaneous other beads. The earrings offered, in pewter tone employ tangerine and dove grey mirror backed cabochons, aurora borealis rhinestones in teal and topaz and side bars of faux seed pearls. Color coordination and stone choices / arrangement is signature Selini.
The clip earrings measure approximately 1 1/8 inches x 1 1/16 inches with a 3/8 inch profile. Orange cabs are about 12 millimeters. Grey cabs approximately 9 millimeters and chaton rhinestones, about 3 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is approximately 16 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones retain ab finish, color and brilliance. Faux pearls retain nacre and luster. All cabs retain color and mirror back for superb sheen and reflection. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to any stones. All pewter tone finish intact, fronts and backs. Earring clips strong and secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Each earring body is signed on reverse pearl bar section: "SELINI" and copyright symbol.
