A trio of beautifully faceted hexagonal, shield shaped topaz art glass stones anchor this '20s-'30s vintage Art Deco era necklace in gilt brass. Each unfoiled and open backed topaz colored glass stone is set within a frame secured by two tabs at bottom and wonderful top overlays of textured, gilt brass leaves. One inch long, diamond embossed, triple domed, scrolled bar links connect. Closure is via a spring ring clasp.
The necklace is a fixed approximate 15 inches. Decorative center spans about 5 5/8 inches and is 1 inch at it's widest point. Maximum thickness is approximately 1/4 inch. The stones' frameworks render them difficult to measure. The largest stone is approximately 29 millimeters x 17 millimeters. Flanking stones are about 17 millimeters x 10 millimeters. Weight of the necklace is approximately 16 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. Much of the gilt work remains with some, expected, age appropriate wear. Patina is excellent. No polishing or abrasive cleaning has been done. All glass stones remain free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. Wonderful shapes, faceting and topaz color. All links secure and free from dents or improper bends. Clasp functional. Clean and RTW. No damage / no repairs.
The necklace has all the earmarks of Czechoslovakia makers. Superb glass and distinctive settings and framework designs. Authentic 1920s-1930s vintage.
