Stippled glass cabochons in burnt orange and brick, fancy dog tooth prong set, anchor these knockout 1960s vintage adjustable clip earrings by Miriam Haskell. Framed with brass tone chain links wired to fancy filigree back cover plates, the earrings feature adjustable screw clips backs for added comfort.
The earrings measures approximately 1 3/16 inches x 15/16 inch with a 3/8 inch profile. The molded, textured glass cabs are about 17 millimeters x 12 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is approximately 20 grams.
Condition in excellent vintage. All components original and intact. Glass cabs free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks with wonderful vibrant orange / brick colors. Brass tone settings display time acquired patina with no verdigris. No polishing has been done. Wiring secure. Clip backs secure with functional adjustable screw tension. Clean. No damage / no repairs.
Reverse of each earring is signed on the small metal circle at solder point: "MIRIAM HASKELL". The metal bar at clip top is stamped with the patent number: "2400513". Style, signature, construction and patent number collectively date these earrings to 1960-1965.
