Rarely does one encounter an authentic Deco bracelet in this remarkable condition. With the desirable invisibe channel set square cut rhinestones in alternating rows of pink and sapphire blue, the hinged oval bracelet retains it's rich colors and brilliance. In period pot metal, with it's matte dark pewter color, the bracelet is secured via a push in box type clasp and fixed safety chain. Stones are set on top half section of bracelet while back half is plain.
The bracelet has an inside circumference of about 6 3/8 inches. Opening has an approximate 2 3/4 inch gap. Front section of bracelet is a generous 3/4 inch wide. Back narrows to approximately 1/4 inch. The bracelet is about 1/8 inch thick. Square cut rhinestones are about 3 millimeters. They are invisibly set, channel style for that signature Art Deco look. Weigh is approximately 52 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact and brilliant, retaining color. Sparkle is incredible for a bracelet this age. Absolutely gorgeous pink and blue colors. No chips or breaks to stones. Pot metal has it's tell tale dull color and substantial heft. Bracelet retains oval shape with proper alignment. No dents or bends. Push in box closure is strong and secure. Safety chain intact. Outstanding condition for a 1930s vintage piece.
The bracelet is not signed -- a common practice during this time. It is a wonderful example of the emerging energy of the era.
Doing time for Decodence. Boldly and beautifully. Cody's.
