Carnegie's crème de la crème. A 1950s vintage cornucopia of graduated glass and metal beads in a multitude of shapes and sizes. Faceted black glass, marbled reds and whites, faux turquoise in myriad textures and treatments, and various gold tone metal beads. Each bead is separated by tiny black glass beads. Peruse the photos for some close-ups of these spectacular beads. All are glass or metal in the three strand stunner. NO plastic. Truly one of Hattie Carnegie's top shelf creations. Colors, shapes, textures and treatments are what Carnegie beads are all about. This necklace has it all.
The necklace's top stand is adjustable to about 16 1/2 inches with beaded extension chain and hook style closure. Bottom strand drapes to about 19 inches. The beads range in size from about 5 millimeter to 17 x 9 millimeters. Weight of the necklace is a substantial approximate 120 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. No cracked or broken beads. Gold tone beads retain plate. Strands appear secure with no slack or over pull. Beautiful drape, due in part to the wonderful weight of the all glass / metal components. Superb in every way. No damage / no repairs. Clean and ready to wear.
Each end bar is signed in cursive: "Carnegie".
