Sparkling aurora borealis rhinestone share the spotlight with creamy faux pearls in this sumptuous 1960s vintage bib necklace in gold tone. The necklace is comprised of three hinged rigid panels forming a Vee shape. It is loaded with faux pearls, many in rosette patterns with golden center beads. Variously sized aurora borealis rhinestones glitter throughout with glints of violet and gold. Gold tone cording ropes it's way through the design. Multi linked gold tone bilateral chains secure the necklace via hook style closure and charmed extension chain. A bib that fits and feels fantastic.
The necklace is adjustable to about 15 1/2 inches with charmed extension tail and hook style closure. The decorative three panels span approximately 6 inches with a maximum width of about 1 5/8 inches. Faux pearls are approximately 4 millimeters; largest ab rhinestones -- 5 millimeters. Weight of the bib is about 46 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All faux pearls retain nacre and luster. No chipped, cracked, discolored or stained pearls. All ab rhinestones intact, retaining sparkle and color play. All gold tone finish intact, front and back. Original hook closure has a tiny bit of gold tone loss. Panel hinges secure. No damage / no repairs. Clean and ready to wear.
