Heavy gold tone fret work links are inset with decorative panels and dimensional female busts in this Asian themed bracelet and earrings set. Princess and decorative panels are powder coated enamel in a bluish purple shade with hints of green. Earrings repeat the motif with the Asian princess panel only. It is a theme Selro / Selini used often, however, this unsigned bracelet and earring set maker remains unknown. Art Deco and Deco Revival also implemented this stylized design motif. This set's vintage appears 1950s. Princess panels in the bracelet and earrings have distinctive paddle back braces that stabilize and secure. The bracelet's original foldover clasp has a second middle foldover tab that seems to function as a safety, keeping the bracelet firmly closed. High relief cast faces are wrought with fine details. A beautiful powder enamel coats these as well as the decorative panels throughout.
The set includes the bracelet, at approximately 7 1/4 inches with double foldover clasp x 1 inch with a 1/4 inch profile and the clip earrings, at about 1 1/8 inches x 1 inch. Weight of the set is a generous approximate 86 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. Links and panels secure. Powdery spray remains intact with age appropriate wear to high points. Gold tone finish shows some very minor wear to reverses. Bracelet clasp show tiny spot of oxidized finish. All soldering and connections secure. Earring clips and bracelet clasp secure. No damage / no repairs. Please note that the bracelet is jutted up in some photos. In real life it lies flat.
The set is unsigned / unmarked. It is excellent quality with "little extras" that make it one of those unsigned beauties we'd love to expose.
Appreciating the prince and princess in all of us. Cody's. Seeing vintage in a new light.
