Synonymous with quality for over 100 years, Ciner is known throughout the world. The company began business in the late 1800s and in 1931 introduced a costume jewelry line that became and still is one of the most recognized and respected fashion jewelry brands. The "power" earrings pictured hail from the 1980s. Styles were big and bold, often featuring generously sized stones. These heavy goldtone clip back chain link earrings are set with a large oval glass faux hematite cabochon. An arresting mix of golden chain with "black silver" simulated hematite commands attention whenever worn. Ciner did it better...and bigger.
The earrings measure a generous approximate 1 1/2 inches x 1 1/4 inches with a 7/16 inch profile. The imitation hematite cab is about 23 millimeters x 16 millimeters. Weight of the earring pair is approximately 38 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All goldtone finishes intact, front and back. Glass, faux hematite cabs free from chips, nicks, cracks, or breaks. All mirror like silvery finish intact, retaining outstanding shine and reflection. Clip backs strong and secure. No damage / no repairs.
Each original earring clip is signed "CINER" with registration symbol. Each earring is also signed twice on the reverse of body, along margins of cab setting in the company of oft used circle stampings, with "CINER" and copyright symbol. There can be no doubt of these earrings' provenance!
