Jomaz / Mazer always comes through with jewels that intrigue and impress. It's craftsmanship rivals that of fine jewelry. The freedom to interpret ideas with non precious stones and art glass allows it's designs a larger than life look. It's what fashion is all about. The earrings pictured, circa 1960s, are heavily goldtone plated and are done in a high domed crescent shell design with rows of open backed faux sapphire art glass chatons. Each row is separated with a high ridge or spine. The section worn closest to the face has a crescent shaped row (in silvertone) of brilliant, clear chaton rhinestones. The rows of faux sapphires seem to radiate from this sparkling crescent, complimenting each other as well as you! Beautiful vintage earrings from a premier maker, Jomaz / Mazer.
The earrings measure approximately 7/8 inch x 5/8 inch with a generous 1/2 inch dome or profile. The pair weighs in at about 16 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All art glass stones and rhinestones intact and brilliant. All goldtone finishes intact, front and back. Earring clips strong and secure. No damage / no repairs.
Each original earring clip is signed "JOMAZ".
With design, materials and workmanship such as this your friends may question...are they...real? Keep them guessing. Jomaz has for years.
