Smoky quartz and clear chaton and pear shaped rhinestones team with creamy simulated pearls in these delightful silver and gold tone snowflake earrings, circa 1960s. Riveted in layers, the earrings utilize the more expensive process of combining gold and silver toned metals -- gold tone for the base outer flakes and silver for the top layer flakes. Two tone metals work beautifully with the clear, gray and white shades of the rhinestones and pearls.
The earrings measure a generous approximate 1 1/2 inches across with a 5/16 inch profile or height. Largest chaton rhinestones are about 8 millimeters; imitation pearls, 4 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is 21.6 grams. .
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. Smoky quartz colored rhinestones retain consistent color and sparkle. "White" rhinestone uniformly clear and brilliant. Faux pearls retain nacre and luster. No dents or improper bends to metal components. Silver and gold tone finishes intact Riveting secure. Clip paddles strong and secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
The earrings are not signed. Wonderful quality and presentation. Circa 1960s.
