Inspired by the city lights and landmark Place Vendome of Paris, Adolph Katz patented Corocraft's interpretation in 1953 with the beautiful necklace and earrings set presented. The design was called Vendome, also the name of Coro's high end line.

The necklace features gold tone open work fluted volutes trimmed in sparkling clear baguette rhinestones. Center span is paved entirely with baguette rhinestones. Sinewy bilateral snake chains culminate with hook closure and rhinestone charmed linked extension chain. Matching domed French clip earrings complement, halved with barred open work and paved baguette rhinestones. We think one of Corocraft's most elegant and sophisticated designs, Vendome keeps the Paris night lights burning bright.

The necklace is adjustable from about 15 inches to 17 inches. Decorative center spans approximately 4 inches x 3/4 inch wide with a 1/2 inch profile or height. Earrings are about 3/4 inch with a 1/4 inch dome. Baguette rhinestones are approximately 3 and 4 millimeters. Weight of the necklace and earrings set is 40.1 grams.

Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones continue to display uniform clear brilliance. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to stones. No dents or improper bends to metal components. All pieces retain as created shapes. Snake / cobra chains free from kinks or bends. Gold tone finish intact, fronts and backs. Earring clips strong and secure. Some very minimal finish wear to earring reverses / paddles. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.

A note about cup / channel set rhinestones. Our pieces are sent with all stones intact. Sometimes with less than delicate postal service, the stones can become dislodged. We package our items very carefully to minimize this possibility.

The necklace is signed on reverse center panel in one word script: "Corocraft" with "PAT. PEND." beneath. Earrings are signed on inside crux in script: "Coro". The Coro patent number 170994 dates this design to 1953.
