Smoky quartz / dove gray was an extremely popular color choice mid century. Paired with brilliant clear stones, the combination turned heads for it's soft sultry side and bright white highlights. The necklace and earrings set presented, finished in a rich rhodium plate, features unusual keystone shaped stones (sometimes referred to as kite) as anchors. The keystones in this set display large flat tables with faceted sides in closed back settings. Clear chaton rhinestones act as frame, accent and chain stones. A hook on necklace and clips on earrings provide closure.

The necklace is adjustable to about 14 1/2 inches. Decorative center spans approximately 5 inches with a maximum width of 1 1/8 inches. Height or thickness is about 1/4 inch. Earrings are about 1 3/8 inches x 7/8 inch at their widest point. Keystones are approximately 18 millimeters x 13 millimeters; necklace chain and accent chatons, 4 millimeters and earring frame and accent chatons, 3 and 6 millimeters. Weight of the necklace and earrings set is 48.1 grams.

Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All stones free of chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. "White" rhinestone retain uniform clarity and brilliance. Smoky quartz colored keystones retain consistent gray color and balanced luminescence. All links and connections secure. All soldering secure. Necklace hook and earring clips strong and secure. Rhodium plate finish intact and lustrous. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
