Presented in gleaming rhodium plate is a mid century multi layered, domed rhinestone snowflake brooch / pendant set with variously sized and pitched pear shaped and baguette rhinestones. Domed crown is paved with tiny chaton rhinestones. An incredible amount of talent and time is embodied in the piece. Each of the stones is hand set on multi tiers. Lustrous rhodium reverse sections are attached via hook and eye, soldering, riveting and bracing. (We think the hidden hinged / swiveling bail was added later for increased wearability as a necklace pendant.) Superb design, materials and workmanship, circa late 1940s-1950s.

The brooch / pendant measures a generous 2 3/4 inches across with a 3/4 inch profile or height. Larger baguettes and pears are approximately 8 millimeters; smaller bags and pears, 6 millimeters. Pendant loop can accommodate up to a 2 millimeters or 1/16 inch diameter chain. Please note that you may have to manipulate, adjust or remove and reattach your necklace chain's ends to facilitate fit through the loop. Weight of the brooch / pendant is 48 grams.

Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact and sparkly. No missing or dead stones. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to stones. No dents or improper bends to metal components. All sections securely hook and eyed / soldered / riveted. Pin mechanism secure. Better quality hidden hinge and swivel bail assembly securely soldered onto outer ring section. Rhodium plate intact, front and back. Some very minor finish wear to small section near one of the hook and eye attachments. Pin mechanism strong and secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
