Large Rhinestone Baguette Lily Flower Brooch Pin Rhodium Plate

Reminiscent of an important 1940's floral series designed by one of the master builders of costume jewelry, the rhodium plated brooch presented (we believe a tiger lily) offers swirls of stems and leaves topped by a voluminous blossom accented by baguette tipped rhinestone filaments. Pave set rhinestones glitter throughout. Lustrous rhodium plates. Beautifully designed and constructed, the brooch hints at but does not overtly reveal it's identity.

The brooch measures an impressive approximate 3 5/8 inches x 1 5/8 inches at it's widest point with a maximum 5/8 inch profile or height. Pave rhinestones range from about 1 millimeter to 2.5 millimeters; baguettes, 7 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is 31.5 grams.

Condition is very good vintage. All stones intact and glittering. Although age dims stones a bit the piece continues to present magnificently. (There's nothing like the sparkle of pave set rhinestones). No dents or improper bends to metal components. Filament extensions remain properly shaped and aligned. Rhodium plate intact. Locking wheel pin section has an old resolder to brooch reverse -- it is shown in one of the images. The resolder appears stable allowing the pin shaft to close properly and the wheel to lock securely. Repair issue is reflected in price. Clean. Very good (reverse resolder) to excellent (front) vintage.

The only stamp we could find was a large case "J". It may be a stone setter's mark. Circa 1940s.
