Although we cannot definitively attribute a maker to these earrings, the design, materials and meticulous construction rank with the best. Wonderful sections of mother of pearl shell, each uniquely shaped and sized, form petals secured by multi prongs. At top a polished green agate stone accents. Wired shimmering swirls of "seaweed" green faceted crystal beads snake around MOP shells. Components are wired onto double filigree backs. Clip paddles are securely soldered to back filigree plates. Truly some of the best quality work of 1940s-1950s costume jewelry.

The earring are approximately 1 1/4 inches across with a generous 1/2 inch profile or height. While the mother of pearl and agate sizes are slightly different, they average about 14 millimeters and 11 millimeters. Crystal glass beads are approximately 4 millimeters. Weight of the earrings set is 15.9 grams.

Condition is excellent vintage. All component correct and intact. Shell and semi precious stones vary in size and none is exactly alike others. They appear to be undamaged. MOP retains signature pearly glow / luminescence; agates, lustrous sheen. Crystal glass beads free from chips or breaks. All wired and pronged components securely attached to filigree backings. Clips strong and secure. Brass tone finish intact, fronts and back. Patina intact. No polishing done. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.

The earrings are not signed. Premium quality. Circa 1940s-1950s.
