Eisenberg's icy dentelle faceted rhinestones continue to capture the crowd clear across the room. Until you've experienced the extra oomph these extra faceted stones impart, images or mere descriptions will not deliver justice. The stones, used frequently by Eisenberg, have a personality all their own -- icy and brilliant without the hard edge of conventional rhinestones. In the example presented, circa 1940s-1950s, Eisenberg sparingly utilizes conventionally cut marquises and accent "ribbon / icing" chatons to draw focus on the variously sized dentelle faceted chaton majority. Protocol and positioning -- Eisenberg's answer for a premium presentation. The brooch's reverse is finished in buttery, lustrous platinum toned rhodium -- again a higher end plate better appreciated in person.
The brooch measures a generous approximate 2 3/4 inches x 2 inches with a maximum 7/16 inch profile or height. Round dentelles are 9, 11 and 13 millimeters; largest marquises, 15 millimeters x 7 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is 28.3 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All dentelle and conventionally faceted stones retain clear brilliance. No dark, cloudy or dead stones. All major stones prong set. Accent ribbon stones, cup set. No dents or improper bends to metal components. All soldering neat and secure. All rhodium plate intact, front and back., retaining pristine luster. Pin mechanism strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of the brooch is signed within a rectangular cartouche; "EISENBERG". Circa 1945-1950s.
