Authentic 1930s vintage dress clip in period pot metal boasts a host of colorful chaton and square cut rhinestones in blue, pink, purple, yellow, and green. Large center purple glass chaton is dentelle faceted, unfoiled and open backed. Surrounding circle of lustrous cabochon faux pearls are in subtle shades of champagne, cream and dove gray. Small accent chaton rhinestones in multiple colors sparkle throughout. The large shield shaped clip, introduced as a single, combines the more angular, geometric edge of deco, softened with the glow of creamy pearl cabs.

The dress clip measures approximately 2 1/2 inches x 2 1/8 inches with a 3/8 inch profile or height. Large center purple stone is 11 millimeters; square or princess cut stones, 4 millimeters and pearl cabs, 8 millimeters. Weight of the clip is 32.6 grams.

Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. Art glass stones and rhinestones retain colors and sparkle. No missing or dead stones. Original simulated pearl cabs retain nacre and luster. There are some minor age related pin pricks and one narrow scratch to top pearl. We believe nothing of consequence, especially considering age. No dents or improper bends to pot metal. Some age commensurate finish wear to reverse. Clip mechanism strong and secure with snap shut closure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Minor age related wear. Excellent vintage.
