Relish the past in the present with this wonderful brass tone book chain style bib necklace, circa 1920s-1930s. Articulated necklace links are suspended with graduated brass tone pierced / filigree capsule and dome dangles culminating in oval amethyst colored glass beads (unfoiled and open back set). The necklace offers delicate bib coverage with comfortable lightweight wearability.

The necklace is a fixed approximate 16 inches with spring ring clasp and older double ring end loop. Decorative bib portion has a 3 inch span. Longest center drop dangles to about 3 1/4 inches. Width of the book chain necklace is 5/16 inch. Oval glass beads are approximately 10 millimeters x 8 millimeters. Weight of the necklace is 24 grams.

Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. Book chain links secure and properly aligned. Clasp spring ring requires a bit of encouragement but closes fully. We have opted to leave it original. All brass tone charm dangles intact with no dents or improper bends. All glass beads free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. Consistent amethyst color. Some minor wear to brass tone finish on reverse of book chain links, common in necklace's of this vintage. Nice patina with no polishing done. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.

The necklace is not signed. It's design, materials, construction and overall presentation date it to the 1920s-1930s.
