Goldette pulls out all the stops with it's Etruscan / Byzantine revival bold shield style brooch dripping with chain link fringe. Although unsigned, the dome and bead / granulation detail, as well as the design and craftsmanship are distinctive Goldette characteristics.

The wonderful shield style brooch presented, circa 1960s-1970s, showcases some of the company's best work. Golden beading / granulation swirl around oval and round ribbed domes within shield's raised borders. 17 long strands of three styles of chain link fringe cascade from the curved bottom. Premium gold tone finish, superb casting and quality chain link fringe work -- all top shelf Goldette.

The brooch is a dramatic 5 1/2 inches long, including fringe x 1 7/8 inches at it's widest point with a maximum 1/4 inch profile or dome height. Weight of the brooch is a generous 60 grams.

Condition Is excellent / near pristine vintage. All components original and intact. All gold tone finish intact fronts and back of brooch and chain fringe. Three alternating chain link types complement the shield's bead and granulation work. All links intact and correct. Pin mechanism strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Near pristine vintage.
