Bernard Shapiro, son of Vogue jewelry founder Harold Shapiro, formed the Les Bernard jewelry company with partner Lester Joy in 1963. The firm also produced quality jewelry for McFadden, Galanos and Correani, as well as for the '80s hit television series "Dynasty". Les Bernard ceased operations in the 1990s.
The cream colored enamel bracelet presented, circa 1960s, features a high pitched dome with raised gold tone ribs. The oval shaped hinged cuff tapers slightly at golden tipped ends. Beautifully stacks or solos.
The bracelet has an inside circumference of approximately 6 inches with a 2 inch opening gap. At it's widest point, bracelet is about 1/2 inch with a maximum 3/8 inch profile or dome. Weight is 40 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. Bracelet maintains oval shape with no dents or improper bends to metal. Hinge strong and secure with tight, snap shut closure. Lustrous enamel intact with no chips or cracks. Gold tone finish intact, inside and out. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Minimal wear. Excellent vintage.
Inside of the bracelet near hinge is signed within an oval cartouche: "LES BERNARD INC.". Circa 1960s.
