1928 began producing well crafted fashion jewelry in Burbank circa 1968. Although most pieces are unsigned, the distinctive swirling patterns on reverses are the defining signature of the company. Many of the company's designs are influenced by Victorian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles.
The wonderful 1970s-1980s vintage clip earrings presented feature large luminescent, glowing golden topaz colored cabochons in a finely textured / granulated gold tone bead and rope shield. Below, a bead framed pendant dangles encasing a lustrous simulated pendeloque pearl.
The earrings are just shy of 3 inches long x 1 1/4 inches at their widest point with a 1/4 inch profile or dome. Cabs are approximately 18 millimeters; pendeloque pearls, 20 millimeters x 9 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is 34 grams.
Condition is excellent / near pristine vintage. All components original and intact. Cabs retain color and luminescence, pearls nacre and luster. All gold tone finish intact, fronts and backs. Clips strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Near pristine vintage.
The earrings are marked by reverse swirling patterns. From the "1928" company. Circa 1970s-1980s.
