Stay in the circle with Matisse's 50s vintage button style clip earrings in lustrous red enamel and gleaming domed copper center. The Jerry Fels company (also of Renoir and Sauteur fame) created the crème de la crème of copper, enamel and sterling jewelry, most notably in the '50s and '60s. It's mid century modern designs transcend time and trends.
The earrings measure a generous approximate 1 1/8 inches across with a 1/4 inch maximum profile or height. Weight of the earrings pair is 20 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All red enamel intact with no chips, nicks, cracks or rubs. Wonderful, consistent red color. All copper finish intact, front and back. (Partial anodized finish on reverses.) No dents, bends, or crush to metal components. Earring clips strong and secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Minimal wear. Excellent vintage.
Each original earring clips is signed in familiar script: "Matisse" and "Renoir" with copyright symbol. Circa 1950s-1960s.
