Unsigned yet undeniably Marcel Boucher. The company's '50s-'60s vintage retro Deco disk designs are well known and regarded. The circular brooch presented, in lustrous finely textured gold tone is riveted with a silver tone overlay paved in clear chaton rhinestones and channel set with faux ruby baguettes. Boucher's "fine tuning" is one of his most characteristic signatures. Attention to design and construction rival that of the real thing.
The brooch measures approximately 1 1/4 inches across with a maximum 1/4 inch profile or height. Chaton rhinestones are about 2 millimeters; baguettes, 3 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is 10 grams.
Condition is excellent / near pristine vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact and uniformly clear and brilliant. No off, dark, cloudy or dead stones. Simulated ruby baguettes alive with saturated Burmese red color. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to stones. Gold tone disk and silver tone overlay retain finishes, front and back. No rubs, scratches or stains. No dents or improper bends to metal components. Overlay securely riveted in place. No twist or turn. Pin mechanism strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Near pristine vintage.
