B. David of Cincinnati, OH manufactured high quality costume jewelry from circa 1945-1993. With all the sparkle and pizzazz you'd expect from jewels of the golden age of rhinestones, B. David's designs offer more tailored versions. The company's jewels tend to be lighter weight that some find easier and more comfortable to wear.
The silver tone clip earrings presented, though unsigned, are definitely B. David's work. (We have had the signed matching brooch previously.) The crescent, climber style earrings feature a fan of purple marquise rhinestones nestling two rows of lavender colored chaton rhinestones. Clip sections position at lobe as crescents "climb" up the ear.
The earrings measures about 1 1/2 inches x 1 inch at their widest point with a 3/16 inch profile or height. Largest marquise rhinestones are approximately 10 millimeters x 5 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is 10 grams.
Condition is excellent / near pristine vintage. All component original and intact. All rhinestones intact and brilliant, retaining colors. No off, cloudy or dead stones. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to stones. All secure within pronged settings. No dents or improper bends to metal components. All soldering secure. Earring clips strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Near pristine vintage.
The earrings are unsigned B. David. Circa 1960s.
