Mode-Art of New, owned by Arthur Pepper, produced jewelry circa 1950s-1970s. Of particular note is it's enamel work, featured in the delightful '60s vintage brooch and earrings set presented. The golden beaded star shaped brooch is clustered with a dome of six white five petal blossoms with orange pistils. Simulated seed pearls surround. Five stations of triple mint green enamel leaves dotted with gold tone beads complete. Matching dangle clip earrings compliment with single blossoms and single triple leaf stations, sans imitation pearls.
The brooch measures approximately 1 3/4 inches across with a 1/2 inch profile or dome. Faux pearls are about 2 millimeters. Earrings dangle about 1 3/8 inches and are 5/8 inch at their widest point. Weight of the brooch and earrings set is 18 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All enamel intact with no chips, nicks or rubs. White remains bright with no stains or discoloration. Minty green leaves remain fresh and lustrous. All simulated pearls retain nacre and luster. No dents or improper bends to metal components. All gold tone finish intact, fronts and backs. Pin mechanism and earring clips secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of brooch is signed: "ART". The earring are not signed but are a definite match. Circa 1960s.
