A well known Adolph Katz design from the 1940s, Coro Craft's classic sterling silver crown pin transcends time. With it's lustrous emerald green and ruby red glass cabochons sparkling clear, blue and green chatons and baguette rhinestones, Coro's vermeil (gold over sterling) crown rivaled it's nearest competitor Trifari's jeweled headdress.
The pin measures approximately 2 inches x 1 1/2 inches with a 3/8 inch profile or height. Oval cabs are about 12 millimeters x 10 millimeters. Weight of the pin is 14 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact, retaining sparkle. Some minor age expected dimming in clear stones. All glass cabs free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. No dents or bends to sterling silver. Gold vermeil (apparent from reverse) intact. No polishing done. Pin mechanism strong and secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of crown is signed on a rectangular cartouche: "Coro" in familiar script preceded by Pegasus and underscored with "CRAFT" in block caps. "STERLING" is stamped beneath. Circa 1944.
