Double strands of lustrous simulated pearls interspersed with translucent green glass tube beads glow in Hobe's '60s vintage classic bead necklace. Silver tone box clasp is embellished with a circle of imitation pearls alternating with green chaton rhinestones. At center of clasp a large green chaton rhinestone rests surrounded by a ring of clear rhinestones. Traditionally, clasps are worn at back. In this beauty, Hobe allows us the choice to side step -- now that's closure!
The necklace's top strand is approximately 19 inches long. Bottom strand drapes a bit lower. Clasp is about 1 inch across. Largest faux pearls are approximately 8 millimeters. Weight of the necklace is 80 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All glass simulated pearls retain nacre and luster. No chips, nicks, cracks or peeling. Strand appear secure with no slack or over pull. All green glass beads intact with no damage. Clasp green rhinestones retain color and sparkle. Clear stones brilliant. Push in clasp strong and secure. Silver tone finish intact. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of the clasp is signed within an oval cartouche: "HOBE" underscored with the year "1965" preceded by copyright symbol. Circa 1965.
