A dazzling array of intensely colored rhinestones adorn these super special '60s vintage rhinestone clip earrings in a japanned (matte black) finish. The earrings feature two sizes of marquise rhinestones in colors we interpret as pink, ice blue, topaz, blue aurora borealis and olivine and avocado greens. A single avocado chaton rhinestone accents each center. Rhinestones precisely abut each other in a juxtaposition of jazzed up jems.
The earrings measure approximately 1 1/4 inches x 1 1/16 inches with a 5/16 inch profile or height. Large marquises are about 15 millimeters x 7 millimeters; smaller, 10 millimeters x 5 millimeters and chatons, 4 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is 14 grams.
Condition is excellent / pristine vintage. All stones intact, retaining all colors and brilliance. No off, cloudy, or dead stones. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to stones. No dents or improper bends to metal components. Japanned finish intact, front and back. Earring clips strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent / pristine vintage.
The earrings are not signed. Design, colors, materials and quality suggest a higher end maker. Circa 1960s.
A litter brighter...a little bolder...a little better. Cody's.
