Characteristic amethyst glass color and embossed / beaded raised floral and foliage hinged metalwork panels hint of Victorian influence in this '20s-'30s vintage antique revival bracelet. Five curved panels feature bezel set and metal bead framed oval purple rhinestones in built up mounts. Bases are generously embossed with floral and foliage designs. Each rolled edge panel is hinged for flexibility and fit. A push in box clasp secures.
The bracelet measures approximately 7 inches x 1 inch wide with a 3/8 inch profile or height. Rhinestones are about 15 millimeters x 10 millimeters. Weight of the bracelet is 58 grams.
Condition is very good vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact, retaining rich amethyst purple color and brilliance. There is some minor surface wear to the stones, reflective of it's age and a flea bite to one stone. All panels aligned and securely hinged with no dents or improper bends to metal components. Superb brass tone patina. We are not sure what the original finish may have been but it has morphed into a wonderful warm brass tone. Reverse panels are brass tone while hinge and box clasp fittings are a soft gun metal color. The push in tongue show use wear but remains securely hinged and complete. Box portion appears to have had some solder repair or reinforcement for a stronger closure, not visible when worn. The closure remains secure. The bracelet shows some age yet presents beautifully. Price is reflective of these noted issues.
The bracelet is not signed. Our best analysis suggests it is a Victorian revival piece, made perhaps in the '20-'30s. Your conclusions may vary.
