At nearly five inches long this voluminous '40s-60s vintage floral brooch turns heads and hearts in awe. Three tulip shaped blossoms laden with marine blue chaton rhinestones share the stage with a long stemmed bud and leafy foliage. The front of the brooch is primarily in lustrous silver tone while the reverse is a gold / bronze color.
The brooch measures approximately 4 3/4 inches x 3 inches at it's widest point with a 3/8 inch profile or height. Chaton rhinestones are about 5 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is a generous 48 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All cup set rhinestones intact retaining rich, marine blue color and brilliance. Silver tone finish on front intact -- bronze finish on reverse intact. We're not sure whether the brooch was created this way or the front finish was initially a gold or bronze tone. Pin mechanism secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of the brooch appears to have been signed but the name is illegible -- perhaps a partial blank or a finish overspray. Circa 1940s-1960s.
Say it with flowers. Three blossoms and a bud. Have it your way with vintage. At Cody's.
