Brilliant blue faux lapis lazuli beads and cabochon embellish this '60s-'70s vintage bold gold tone pendant necklace from Florenza. Center oval cab is encircled with golden fleur de lis spires / spears. A rigid double chain link forms the base of the domed pendant. A multi link neck chain with spring ring closure secures.
The Dan Kasoff Company used the Florenza name from circa 1948-1981. Known for it's saphiret glass jewelry, Florenza is also noted for it's interesting and creative color choices and expert antiqued metal work.
The pendant necklace presented has a wearable chain length of about 23 inches. Bail adds an additional 1/4 inch. Pendant portion is approximately 2 5/8 inches x 2 1/4 inches with a 1/2 inch profile or dome. Center oval cab is about 18 millimeters x 13 millimeters; peripheral beads, 3 millimeters. Weight of the necklace is 58 grams.
Condition of pendant is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All faux lapis stones retain rich blue color with gem like striations / marbling. All gold tone finish intact, front and back. No dents or improper bends to metal. All soldering secure. Neck chain shows some gold tone wear near pendant portion. All chain links and clasp strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Some gold tone wear on neck chain only. Excellent / very good vintage.
The pendant is signed on reverse: "FLORENZA" followed by copyright symbol. Circa 1960s-1970s.
