Sinewy silvery openwork wings tipped with brilliant rhinestones extend from a rhinestone set body in this magnificent '40s vintage majestic butterfly brooch. Head and antennae tips are accented with rhinestones and eyes are dotted by tiny red rhinestones. A light and airy appeal with all the sparkle we love. Presents beautifully.

The butterfly measures approximately 3 inches x 2 13/16 inches with a 1/4 inch profile or height. Rhinestones range from 2 millimeters to 5 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is a substantial 42 grams.

Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact and uniformly clear and brilliant. No dark, cloudy, dull or dead stones. All silver tone finish intact, front and back. No dents, improper bends, crush or collapse to metal components. All soldering secure. Pin mechanism secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.

We could not find a mark or signature on the brooch. Wonderful design and execution. Circa 1940s.
