Weiss put the "b" in bling back in '42 and continued to blaze until 1971. Check out this early Weiss seven point star with a showing of multiple, magnificent dentelle faceted chatons and conventional marquise and chaton rhinestones. Base layer begins with tented marquises with chaton points. Outer circle features dentelle faceted chatons (for premium sparkle) while inner circle displays traditional chatons. At center a large dentelle faceted chaton crowns.
The brooch measures approximately 2 1/4 inches across, point to point with a maximum 1/4 inch profile or height. Center dentelle is 11 millimeters; marquises, 12 millimeters x 6 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is about 24 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact and brilliant. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to stones. All metal components free from dents or improper bends. Silver tone finish intact. Minor wear on reverse. Pin mechanism secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repair. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of the brooch is signed within an oval cartouche: "WEISS" no copyright symbol. Circa 1940s-early '50s.
