Weiss strikes a chord with it's electric orange and tony topaz swirling pinwheel style brooch in Florentine finished gold tone. The circular brooch features sparkling hyacinth and topaz colored chaton rhinestones set on a slight domed shape topped with a large round brilliant in vivid orange. Pierced, satin finished gold tone ribbons with beaded edges swirl at base.
The brooch measures a substantial approximate 2 3/ 8 inches with a 5/8 inch profile or height. Largest chaton rhinestone is about 11 millimeters; peripheral chatons, 4 millimeters and 6 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is approximately 30 grams.
Condition is excellent / near pristine vintage. All components original and intact. All rhinestones retain vibrant color and as new sparkle. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to stones. No dents or improper bends to metal components. All gold tone finish intact, front and back. Pin mechanism secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Near pristine vintage.
The brooch is signed on reverse within an oval cartouche: "WEISS". The "W" and "E" are partially obscured. Definitely a Weiss piece. Circa 1960s.
