Along with the recently introduced aurora borealis rhinestone, Weiss paired it's smoky quartz colored rhinestones (so called black diamonds) to ensemble the quintessential quartet of the '60s. Clear chatons add the emphasis in these silver tone sparklers from vintage costume jeweler Weiss (1942-1981).
The earrings measure a substantial 1 1/8 inches across from point to point as worn with a profile or height of 3/8 inch. Large chaton ab and smoky quartz colored rhinestones are about 11 millimeters; clear center chatons, 7 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is 20 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact retaining brilliance and select color / treatments. All stones pronged and secure. No dents or improper bends to metal components. All silver tone finish intact, fronts and backs. Earring clips strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
