Presented is an elusive vintage West German bead dangle brooch featuring faceted and free form glass and plastic beads in vivid greens and blues accented by clear chaton rhinestones and gray baroque faux pearls. Circa 1960s, the gold tone domed brooch incorporates a trio of beaded fringe dangles. Typical German construction laces, wires and strings beads securely to filigree back cover plate while free moving dangles attach via jump rings.
The brooch measures an impressive approximate 3 1/2 inches (including fringe) x 1 1/2 inches at its widest point with a 3/4 inch profile or dome. Largest beads are approximately 15 millimeters x 12 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is about 28 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All beads retain colors and finishes. Simulated pearls remain lustrous with all nacre intact. Rhinestones uniformly clear and brilliant. All components securely attached Pin mechanism strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of the brooch is signed: "WEST GERMANY". Circa 1960s. (Made in West Germany, Western Germany, West Germany and W. Germany were marks typically used from about 1949-1990.)
