Squash blossom necklaces have been a staple in the Native American Indian culture for years. So popular, if fact, that replicas and imitations with simulated stones have been created for the fashion market.
Presented is a '60 vintage squash blossom statement in silver tone metal with large faux turquoise cabochons. The oval resin stones display all the luster, color, specks and striations seen in genuine stones. Rope, bead and volute accents complete the design while bilateral silver tone multi link chains secure via spring ring clasp.
The necklace is a wearable length of about 28 inches. Decorative center spans approximately 10 inches. Naja is about 2 1/4 inches x 2 inches. Imitation turquoise cabs are approximately 24 millimeters x 17 millimeters. Weight of the necklace is 88 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All faux turquoise cabs free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. Wonderful stones treatments and even colors. All silver tone finishes intact, front and back. No dents or improper bends to metal components. All soldering / connections secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
The necklace is not signed. Circa 1960s.
