Schreiner shines on in it's '50s-'60s vintage rhinestone flower blossom brooch / pendant in japanned finish. The hand made, signed combo (all Schreiner pieces were made by hand) features an array of variously sized clear chaton rhinestones set throughout. Top tier blossom center is anchored by a large dentelle faceted chaton surrounded by upswept rhinestone tipped tendrils. Japanned finish (think flat black enamel) adds contrast for a spectacular presentation. A concealed loop on reverse facilitates use as a pendant suspended from your favorite necklace chain.
Henry Schreiner produced top quality jewelry from about 1939-1977 in New York City. Upon his death in 1954 his daughter and her husband continued the line. Never mass produced, each piece is characterized by unique touches, adding a personal note to the star quality of Schreiner.
The brooch / pendant presented measures a generous approximate 3 inches across with a maximum 5/8 inch profile or height. Center dentelle faceted chaton is about 10 millimeters; largest arm or petal chatons, 6 millimeters. Weight of the pin / pendant is 26 grams.
