Beautifully cast in her signature Russian gold tone finish, Haskell focuses on '50s-'60s vintage Asian themed brooch featuring two figures beneath a pagoda with tiny winged creature perched atop. Opposite pagoda, bamboo shoots upward. The brooch is encircled with a richly scrolled border. Dimension and textured details abound.
The brooch measures approximately 1 5/8 inches across with a 1/4 inch profile or thickness. Weight of the brooch is about 10 grams.
Condition is pristine / excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All Russian / antiqued gold tone finish intact, front and back. No scratches, wear, stains or rubs. No dents or improper bends to metal. Pin shaft straight -- mechanism strong and secure. Extremely clean. Nice patina. No polishing done. No damage / no repairs. Pristine vintage.
A note: We have seen this brooch with the addition of beads, faux pearls and a filigree back cover plate. This an original version sans beads and back plate.
Reverse of the brooch is signed within an oval cartouche: "MIRIAM HASKELL". Circa 1950s-1960s.
