Founder Dan Kasoff introduced the Florenza name in honor of his wife Florence in 1948. Designs were often romantic inspirations of Victorian and Renaissance jewelry. The company also produced for Weiss, Kramer, Carnegie, Coro, Capri, Revlon and Estee Lauder. Operations ceased in 1981.
The sensational bracelet and earrings demi presented, circa 1960s, features the rare crescent shaped simulated moonstones jutting with emerald and peridot green chaton rhinestones and stemmed imitation pearls. A Florenza trademark, gold tone metalwork fronts and backs are exceptional. Link bracelet features embossed fold over clasp and detachable safety chain. Matching opposing earrings are clip style.
The bracelet measures approximately 7 1/4 inches x 1 1/8 inches with a 1/4 inch profile or height. Moonstones are about 15 millimeters x 9 millimeters; largest chatons, 6 millimeters and pearls, 3 millimeters. Weight of the bracelet and earrings set is 62 grams.
Condition is excellent / near pristine vintage. All components original and intact. All moonstones retain luminescence with no chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. All rhinestones retain colors and brilliance. No off, cloudy or dead stones. All faux pearls retain nacre and luster. No chips, crack or peeling. Gold tone finish intact, fronts and backs. Bracelet clasp, safety chain and earring clips strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Near pristine vintage.
