Broad, textured, rhinestone spattered plumes arch over rich topaz colored art glass stones in this wonderful '50s-'60s vintage burnished brass tone brooch and earrings set. The huge, pronged, pear shaped art glass stones, unfoiled and open back set, anchor each piece. The brooch's multiple overlapping plumes arch high above and are set with chaton topaz colored rhinestones and tiny clear accent rhinestones. The earrings' plumes include the tiny accent rhinestones, sans topaz chatons. Quality is beyond compare and although unsigned the demi is obviously the work of a talented designer / firm. Beautiful stones and metalwork.
The brooch measures a substantial approximate 2 3/4 inches x 1 7/8 inches at it's widest point. The art glass stone is a massive approximate 30 millimeters x 20 millimeters. The clip earrings are about 1 1/2 inches x 1 inch with art glass stones approximately 17 millimeters x 12 millimeters. Weight of the demi is about 46 grams.
