Sparkling swirls of clear chaton rhinestones line the seven blades of this '50s-'60s vintage gold tone pin wheel brooch by Kandell & Marcus of New York. This rather enigmatic company produced high quality jewelry in limited supplies.
The brooch measures an impressive 2 1/2 inches across with a 3/8 inch profile or height. Center chaton rhinestone is approximately 8 millimeters; blade chatons, about 2 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is 42 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact, retaining sparkle. All blades properly aligned and free from dents or improper bends. All soldering secure. Gold tone finish intact, front and back. Pin mechanism secure. Very clean. No damage / no repairs. While in excellent condition please keep in mind that the brooch is vintage and will not appear brand new.
Reverse of the brooch is signed within a rectangular cartouche: "KANDELL & MARCUS N.Y.". Circa 1950s - 1960s.
